Shipping & Handling:
Most orders received by 1 PM(PST) are shipped the same day, but as hard as we
try, we can't always get them all out. So, if it's in stock, it'll definitely
be shipped out by the next business day. Orders received on weekends and holidays
are shipped the next business day (if you call us on Sunday asking about the
'Overnight' order that you placed on Saturday, we're gonna have a good laugh
at your expense). UPS Rates are based on where you live and the the size of
weight/size of the package. When you check out, the prices that are shown for
shipping methods are strictly estimate, based on shipping an item halfway across
the country. Once you enter your address, these rates will change. If you are
closer to Oregon, the rates will be lower. If you live on the East Coast, they
will be higher. Some items, such as skis and poles are too big to be shipped
at regular rates. Such items get billed at a dimensional weight. This means
that the rate is based on cubic inches rather than the actual weight. If we
send a ski box across the country via Next Day Air it will still cost $200 whether
it is empty or if it weighs 60 pounds. We have tried to make the shipping prices
as accurate as possible so that our shipping costs get covered. We also insure
all packages sent via UPS. This costs us about $.40 per $100 of value. We do
not make a ton of money on shipping. Actually, for the last 4 years, we've lost
money every year - so our estimates are usually in your favor. UPS charges us
extra for residential deliveries, incorrect addresses (please know your zip
codes and apt. numbers)
Please remember
that UPS does NOT deliver to PO Boxes. If you are in the US military and have
an APO address, we will definitely make exceptions. If you have special shipping
needs, give Dave a call. He'll definitely work with you.
If you enter the
wrong address, your order won't be delivered in a timely fashion, and there
might be additional charges, so please check all of your info before processing
your order.
We try to recycle
as many boxes and as much packaging material as possible. If we think a box
is in good enough shape to ship again, we will use it. We know that it's great
getting a clean, brand new box when you receive a package, but quite honestly,
it is a big waste of money and natural resources. We do use new boxes everyday
- but about 25% of our outgoing shipments are in recycled boxes. If you receive
an order from us in a box that has a couple other labels on it - smile and consider
it a good deed for the environment.
International customers
are responsible for all customs, taxes, and tariffs. Please don't call us asking
how much the tariffs are, because we have no clue. Check with your government
or local shipping company. For prices, you can use this exchange rate calculator,
but this is only an estimate. Your credit card company will determine the actual
conversion rate.
Returns:
Of course we take returns, as long as we can still sell the product as new.
This means it has to be in the original packaging and can't have scratches on
it. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. But if you buy
something, ski with it for a few days and decide that you want something different,
well, we'd prefer it if you sold it to a friend or something. If we get too
many returns, that means that our costs go up, which means our prices will go
up, and nobody wants that. Merchandise must be returned with the original packaging
along with the receipt. Ship returns to the address below via a trackable service
such as UPS. WebSkis will not be responsible for merchandise lost in shipping.
Do NOT ship items in a plain envelope - envelopes rip and items fall out. Also,
do NOT use the original packaging as the shipping container. That means you
need to put the item and it's packaging inside a separate box. Don't put a shipping
label right on a brand new wax box (example). For
faster service, email sales@webskis.com to obtain a return authorization number. Please include
your order ID# and explain the reason for the return in your email.

Pricing:
We may not be the cheapest place in the world, but we do have some damn good
prices. We're definitely not a huge closeout/discounter. We are a specialty
retailer. We offer some of the best customer service available, and we think
that's worth something. We only ship new product, in it's original packaging.
We don't make a habit of selling OEM equipment or gray market product. If we
do sell any, it'll definitely be advertised as such. Do we match prices? Well,
that's a tough one. Sometimes. It all depends on what the product is, and whether
or not we can. If it's the matter of a few dollars, we'll probably match the
price (as long as it's an advertised price, and the competitor has the item
IN STOCK). If you have a question regarding price matching, just give us a
call and we will be happy to assist you.
