You can use any poles you want, but WebSkis recommends these because they are inexpensive and will work well for training. Be sure to get the Rollerski tips though. For sizing, you want them to be the same length as you regular poles - yes you are higher off the ground, but your tips aren't going into snow either - so they will be taller....
