Our testing has shown that if high fluoro waxes are applied to ski bases using the proper iron heat and proper brushing and polishing techiques, that the wax compounds will be removed from the bases after skiing in long races. If, however, the skis are waxed with high fluoro compounds and are not skied on for a while, or the bases are overheated and become dry, this fluor cleaner should be used to remove the compounds and refresh the bases.
