Hot Box ThermoWax Ski Treatment

Webskis.com is equipped with an Italian made Tazzari Hot-Box for ski base wax saturation. The hot box uses a special SOLDA ThermoWax that has a super-low melting point. We apply the SOLDA ThermoWax, and then let them stay in the hot box until the wax works its way into the base. It's the best way to saturate your ski bases, and it's as easy as coming in and dropping off your skis for the night. WebSkis charges $22 for a two-hour soak.

The full-on overnight hot box treatments are $35 with the SOLDA Thermo-wax. This is the treatment we recommend for most skis. We start this with the skis in the Box at a fairly “cool” 49° C for 12 hours. This temperature is all that is needed to allow the wax to penetrate. This will be followed up by scraping and brushing and the application of a harder low fluor wax. The skis go back in the box for 50 minutes at 60°C.
